Sky slider broke in July. I mean even an average person could conclude be just looking that there is only one track. If necessary, remove the header bows from the cover. I have come across what seems to be a common problem with the Jeep Liberty equipped with a Sky Slider roof: the cable snapping, thus making it impossible to use and it possibly break off completely. One of the clips that rides on the cables has broken so the roof has been askew for about a year.
I will take any advice I can get! This is very dangerous when driving. I cannot go without a car for 2 days. I love the car itself, but this roof just made my life hell. Aaron said he agreed with his tech, I need a new track, and there happens to be one in stock should I choose to have the repair done and he would even offer me parts at cost and a 10% discount. The dealer did get the top back down for me. Now it just pops loose just by driving 60mph down the road from the wind.

It's always nice to go for a drive on a warm summer's day and feel the wind in your hair, assuming you have hair, but the price you pay can often be measured in noise, moisture and other annoyances. I really am not that customer. Based on any conversation I have with supervisor today will determine my next actions. I have taken it in to my local Jeep dealership, and they said that the cables that allow the sky slider to open and close have broke due to normal wear and tear. Some States have ordered buy backs under Lemon Laws but Chrysler does not admit they have a fauty product. This opens the housing around the shoes and it slides off easily.
Finally told December 31 parts are pending. The left rear panel houses a concealed compartment for jack storage and tools. I was lead on for 10 months with weekly updates of promises for resolutions. For example, I drove to Pueblo the other evening, it was chilly so the skyslider was closed. They replaced it one time under my warranty and I still have the same problems. If there is not already one in the works, we will take the lead. I have seen the exploded parts list for the top but it doesn't show the clips.
